තිරිසන්ගත ප්‍රාණීහු.

 

සතිපට්ඨානය වැඩීමෙදී සිතේ ඇතිවන නීවරණ ධර්මයන්ම භාවනාවක් ලෙස භාවිතා කළ හැක. උදාහරණයක් ලෙස තමා තුල  කාමච්ඡන්‍දය ඇතිවන විට මා තුළ කාමච්ඡන්‍දය ඇතැයි දැනගනී. එවන් මෙනෙහි කිරීමකදී ස්වභාවය වන්නේ එම නීවරණ ධර්මය යටපත් වී යාමයි. එසේ තමා තුල වූ කාමච්ඡන්‍දය නැති වූ බව සිහියෙන් දැනගෙන නැවත කලින් භාවනා අරමුනෙහිම සිත් පිහිටුවිය යුතුයි. මේ ආකාරයටම අන් නීවරණ ධර්ම කෙරෙහිත් පිළිපැදිය යුතුයි.

 

 

නීවරණ වලට ගොඩක් ආසවුනොත් නම් මගහැරෙයි. එහෙම වුනොත් අපරාදේ මේ සැරේ!

සිංගප්පූරුවේ නිර්මාතෘවරයා ලෙස පිළිගැනෙන ලී ක්වාන් යූ අද අළුයම මියගියේය. මියයන විට 91 වැනි වියේ පසුවූ ලී ක්වාන් යූ එරට ප්‍රථම රාජ්‍ය නායකයා වූයේය.

මලයාසියානු අර්ධද්විපයේ දකුණු ප්‍රදේශයේ බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය අධිරාජ්‍යය යටතේ පාලනය වූ වර්ග සැතපුම් 226ක විශාලත්වයකින් යුතු සිංගප්පූරුව මැලේසියාවෙන් වෙනව ස්වාධීන රාජ්‍යයක් බවට පත්කරණ ලද්දේ 1959 වර්ෂයේ දී ය. රාජ්‍ය නායකත්වයට පත්වූ ලී ක්වාන් යූ කියා සිටියේ ඔහු තම රාජ්‍යය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවක් බවට පත්කරණ බවයි.

1923 සැප්තැම්බර් මස 16 දා උපන් ලී බ්‍රිතාන්‍යෙය් කේම්බ්‍රිජ් විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයෙන් සිය උසස් අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබීය. බ්‍රිතාන්‍යයේ අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබූ කාලයේ ඔහු නීතිඥයෙකුසේම උපාධිධාරියකුද වූ අතර, පරිණත දේශපාලනඥයකුද විය. ළමා වියේ සිටම සමාජ සේවා දේශපාලන කටයුතුවලට කැමැත්තක්‌ දැක්‌වූ ලී කොමියුනිස්‌ට්‌ දේශපාලන පක්‍ෂයක්‌ වන සමාජවාදී මහජන විමුක්‌ති පක්‍ෂය නමින් පක්‍ෂයක්‌ 1954 දී පිහිටුවා එහි ලේකම් පදවිය දැරීය. අනතුරුව 1955 දී සිංගප්පූරුවේ ව්‍යවස්‌ථාදයක සභාවේ නියෝජිතයෙකු ලෙසද පත්වූයේය.

ඇමෙරිකාවේ ජනාධිපති බැරක් ඔබාමා වරක් කියා සිටියේ ලි ක්වාන් යූ යනු සිංගප්පූරුවේ යෝධයා බවයි.
