Hambantota Port

Hi,

Some of you were interested about Hambantota port. Following are some pics I took on this Monday:

 

New cars brought out of the port premises and parked on the old Hambantota road. There’s a small security hut and a bamboo gate.

 

These are the “Hotels” available… You have to stay somewhere here till custom clearence done

 

You have to get down from Mirijjawila junction and come here by threewheler. Otherwise, come by another vehicle with a driver to bring the new one, as the gentleman in the car below J

 

 

Ppl sitting in closed salt stall… Administrative building of port can be seen in the background

 

Hope they’ll provide a shelter and a place to sit for the ppl come all the way to Hambantota to bring their new vehicles, having paid reasonable tax to government.
