නේපාලයේ සිදුවූ භූකම්පනයට පෙර නේපාල හින්දු ජනයා අතර ප්‍රචලිත ලොව විශාලතම සත්ත්ව බිලි පූජාව ලෙස සැලකෙන ගාධිමායි උත්සවය පැවැත්වූ බව විදෙස් ප්‍රවෘත්ති සේවා කියයි.
එම උත්සවය වෙනුවෙන් බරියාර්පූර්වල ස්වායම්බූනාත් කෝවිලට පැමිණෙන හින්දු ජනයා හරකුන්, කුකුළන්, මීයන්, පරවියන් හා ඌරන් ඇතුළු සතුන්ගේ බෙලි කපා ලේ තුළින් ශුද්ධත්වය ප්‍රාර්ථනා කරති. තම ජීවිතයට සුබදායීත්වය බලාපොරොත්තු වෙති.
2015 වසරේ එම උත්සවය පසුගියදා පැවති අතර එහිදී මීහරකුන් 5000කට වැඩි ප්‍රමාණයක් බෙලි කපා ඝාතනය කර ඇතැයි කියති.
මෙය සිදුකරන ස්වායම්බූනාත් කෝවිල් පරිශ්‍රය පසුගියදා ඇතිවූ භූකම්පනයෙන් විනාශවී සුන්බුන් පමණක් ඉතිරි වූ බව බීබීසී ප්‍රවෘත්ති සේවය වාර්තා කළේය.
මේ වන විට නේපාලයේ කත්මණ්ඩු නුවර ආශ්‍රිතව ඇතිවූ භූකම්පන තත්ත්වය හේතුවෙන් මිය ගිය ගණන 3600 ඉක්මවා ඇතැයි එරටින් වාර්තාවේ.
